Study Links Chronic Sickle Cell Pain to Gut Microbial Imbalance

Dr. Katelyn Sadler and fellow researchers found a clear connection between the chronic pain experienced by some people with sickle cell disease and the bacteria present in their gastrointestinal tracts.
