The Health Professions Advising Center has scheduled a Dental School Symposium  on campus next week for students considering careers in the dental professions.

The March 5 event will feature administrators from prominent Texas dental university degree programs.

The talks will start at 4 p.m. in the Conference Center (CN 1.206) and will be broken down into three key sessions:

  • Current trends in dentistry, 4 p.m.
  • Admission to dental school, 5 p.m.
  • Panel question-and-answer session, 6 p.m.

The experts scheduled to attend the symposium are:

  • Barbara Miller, D.D.S., executive director of admissions, Baylor College of Dentistry.
  • Denee Thomas, Ph.D., associate dean, UT San Antonio Dental School.
  • Phil Pierpont, D.D.S., associate dean, UT Houston Dental School.
