Nearly 200 University of Texas at Dallas students presented their summer research projects at the Summer Platform for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) symposium July 29 at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center.

Designed as a capstone for student projects, SPUR featured the work of undergraduates from several programs, including the Anson L. Clark Summer Research Program and the bioengineering undergraduate research scholars program.

Students not affiliated with a program also were eligible to present their research. About 50 students were awarded prizes ranging from $100 to $300.

The Hobson Wildenthal Honors College sponsored the event with support from many UTD schools and programs, including the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, the Naveen Jindal School of Management and the Office of Research and Innovation.
