The UT Dallas Model United Nations team earned a “Distinguished Delegation Award” at the National Model United Nations Simulation in New York this week.
The team represented Sierra Leone at the conference.
A number of UT Dallas students also won leadership positions:
- Sara Muehlenbein, chair of the Security Council.
- Dionna Budd, chair of the African Union.
- Lindsay Bernsen, rapporteur of the General Assembly Plenary Committee.
- Elizabeth Organ, judge on the International Court of Justice.
Other UT Dallas students who participated on the award-winning team were Eric Bao, Ryan Henry, Sofia Joseph, Saheli Nath, Tyler Ratliff and Robin Rhyne.
UT Dallas’ Model U.N. program is sponsored by faculty sponsor Dr. Marie Isabelle Chevrier, a professor in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences.
