Creating work environments that promote high employee performance and job satisfaction will be the topic of a Professional Development Forum at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) on Sept. 5.
Dr. Robert F. Hicks, a licensed industrial and organizational psychologist, will be the featured speaker. His presentation will address methods of creating motivational matches between individuals and their jobs and increasing leadership effectiveness. (An expanded version of Dr. Hicks’ presentation also will be offered online as a self-paced, interactive workshop).
In his work over the last 20 years as a consulting organizational psychologist, Dr. Hicks has provided guidance in leadership, team effectiveness, selections and assessments, and organizational change to numerous major corporations and municipalities. He earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in educational psychology from the University of Southern California.
A breakfast will be served at 8 a.m., with the presentation following from 8:30 to 10 a.m. There is a $10 charge for the two events, both of which will be at the UTD Conference Center, Room 1.212.
