The men’s golf team at The University
of Texas at Dallas (UTD) has been selected to play in its first National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) Division III championships, to be held May 12-15 at Dornoch Golf Club in Delaware,
Ohio.

The Comets were one of 23 teams chosen for
the 2003 championships – three teams from each of six regions and five at-large teams nationally.

Selection to the NCAA Divison III tournament
caps a highly-successful season for the U.T. Dallas men’s golf team, which saw the Comets become
the university’s first athletic team ranked in the top 10 nationally and win its first American
Southwest Conference Tournament title.

The men’s golf team has five players and is
coached by John Antonisse. Evan Nash, a senior majoring in interdisciplinary studies, serves
as captain. The other members of the team are Dustin Wisener, a senior majoring in criminal justice;
Clay Hauser, a senior majoring in finance; Scott Maurer, a sophomore majoring in finance, and
Peyton Cook, a sophomore majoring in economics.
