Texas Lawmakers Tour UT Dallas Campus

The University of Texas at Dallas has played host to a stream of high-profile guests this fall as lawmakers from the Texas House and Senate visit campus to learn more about the University’s programs and legislative interests.
The guests included Sen. Joe Driver of Garland, State Sen. Kirk Watson of Austin, State Rep. Marc Veasey of Fort Worth, State Rep. Brian McCall of Plano, State Sen. Bob Deuell of Greenville, State Rep. Lois Kolkhorst of Brenham, and Rep. Joaquin Castro of San Antonio.
The policymakers discussed the upcoming legislative session with President David E. Daniel and Vice President of Public Affairs Amanda Rockow. They also toured the Natural Science and Engineering Research Laboratory and shared their experiences with students in Professor Greg Thielemann’s undergraduate government class.
