The UT Dallas Cheerleaders and Temoc returned to campus with top honors from the National Cheerleaders Association’s college camp, held over the summer in Lawrence, Kan.

Temoc

Temoc was voted All-American Mascot.

The squad received Superior ribbons on all evaluations and earned NCA’s coveted Spirit Stick. The cheerleaders also received first place in the Sideline/Gameday competition and were awarded NCA’s highest honor – Most Collegiate All-Girl team – for the second time in the last three years.

The team was also awarded a Silver Paid Bid to the national competition to be held in April in Daytona Beach, Fla. It was the first time that the NCA has awarded this partial paid bid to an all-girl team from a Division III school.

In the mascot division, Temoc was voted All-American Mascot by the NCA staff and received the Most Spirit award in a vote involving the other mascots attending camp.

In addition, the stunt group of Christi Barfield, Laura Ream, Brittany Williams and Kelsey Haroldson won the All-Girl “Top Gun” stunt competition.
