The Office of Student Affairs has released sketches of four concepts for a new UT Dallas mascot in anticipation of a campus vote to pick the top contender.
The mascot committee, led by Vice President Dr. Darrelene Rachavong, plans to have the mascot in place by the fall semester.
The committee emphasized that the sketches depict are meant to illustrate possible approaches to designing a fox, hawk, coyote or abstract character. They do not represent final designs.
A survey to be sent out soon will invite students, staff members, faculty members and alumni to rank their choices for the next UT Dallas mascot.
Following are the four mascot concepts. Clicking on each pulls up enlarged versions of the sketches as well as alternate artistic representations.
