Comic Maria Bamford Bringing Act to UT Dallas

The Student Union and Activities Advisory Board welcomes stand-up comic Maria Bamford for its Women’s Month Comedy Night program on Monday, March 9.
The free event is at 8 p.m. at the Conference Center.
Bamford has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Comedy Central Presents…Maria Bamford.
Her new album produced by Comedy Central Records, called Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome, is scheduled to be released April 21.
Bamford started her career in Minneapolis.
Her routine makes use of a wide variety of impersonations, many of which portray members of her own family and can be seen in videos on the Maria Bamford Web site.
Variety selected her for the magazine’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch in 2008.”
She has also provided voices for characters in such animated productions as Hey Arnold!, Barnyard, Charlotte’s Web 2 and Stuart Little 2.
