CEO's Insights on Engineering Conclude 'TI Day'

In an event dubbed “TI Day” at UT Dallas, Texas Instruments chief executive Richard K. Templeton visited campus Thursday to meet with staff, faculty and officials and urge students to consider careers in engineering.

“We always underestimate the impact that we will have,” Templeton said.

Challenges with energy, medical technology and safety make it a pivotal time for technology training, he said. “When society has a problem, that’s usually when we do our best work.”
