Members of the UT Dallas Community:

The news coming from Ukraine is distressing and the impact of the unjustifiable war extends beyond the Ukrainian borders.

UT Dallas, as an American institution of learning, remains committed to democratic principles both at home and abroad. We hold in contempt those who would subjugate a free people through military force.

Some in our community have family and friends in Ukraine, many have personal experiences with war and violence, and the Russian aggression may evoke painful emotions.

Please know that we stand in support of those who are affected. The University’s Student Counseling Center offers a safe and confidential space for students in crisis. Staff and faculty can access the Employee Assistance Program for support and resources.

As a community, we have coped with the pandemic and societal upheavals by uniting for the good of our students, staff and faculty. We have proven our resilience, time and again, and will continue to support one another through this latest, most indecent crisis.

Sincerely,
