Recognizing the vital role that masterful planning plays in successful business initiatives, UT Dallas is organizing its 2nd Annual Project Management Symposium.

The two-day symposium, titled “Leveraging Project Management for Business Success,” starts Aug. 18.

The event is sponsored by the Project Management Program in the School of Management, in cooperation with the Dallas Chapter of the Project Management Institute and PMForum Inc.

The conference will feature keynote speeches by Dr. David E. Daniel, the president of UT Dallas; and George Consolver, strategy manager for Texas Instruments.

Topics will include:

  • IT project management.
  • New product development.
  • Governance issues.
  • Project management in health care.
  • Global project management.
  • Emerging trends.
