RICHARDSON, Texas (June 9, 2003) – “Career
Management Strategies in an Unpredictable Economy” will be the topic of a panel discussion Thursday,
June 19, at a Professional Development Forum at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).
The three panel members will present perspectives from the corporate sector, higher education and government
in a discussion of the far-reaching impact of the current economy. The discussion will touch on issues ranging
from the effects on delivery of services to interactions with customers and constituents to insuring employees’
continued personal growth.
Panel members will be Ken Wilcox, vice president and general manager, small format channel, Frito-Lay Corporation;
Margaret M. Wright, assistant director of human resources, City of Dallas; and Jay Phillips, director of
Executive and Professional Development in UTD’s School of Management.
A breakfast will be held at 8 a.m., followed by the
panel’s presentation from 8:30 to 10 a.m. A $15 charge covers both events, which will be held in
