RICHARDSON, Texas (Dec. 8, 2004 ) — The School of Arts and Humanities at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will host Urbanisms of Risk, a mixed media exhibition encompassing photography, paintings, urban schemas and video, in the main gallery of the Visual Arts Building from Jan. 10 to Feb. 12.
An opening reception will be held Friday, Jan. 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
According to Charissa Terranova, curator of the exhibition, Urbanisms of Risk embodies the current condition of risk in “a world of greater connection and less security; more players and fewer safety nets.” Among the artists featured in the show will be UTD faculty member John Pomara, Jason Archer, Paul Beck, Richie Budd, Nan Coulter, Alex de Leon, Amy Drezner, Ken Little, Ana Miljacki and Laray Polk.
Gallery hours are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The gallery is closed Sundays and university holidays.
