World-Renowned Physicist Dr. Jinyue Gao to Speak About Electromagnetically Induced Two-Photon Transparency
By: Jenni Bullington | Aug. 1, 2001
Dr. Gao, a world-renowned quantum physics optician who serves as dean of the School of Physics at Jilin University in Changchun, China, will discuss a report about the observation of the electromagnetically induced inhibition of two-photon absorption, with atomic sodium vapor as a test medium.
Dr. Gao’s presentation also will include an experimental demonstration of electromagnetically induced two-photon transparency in room temperature rubidium vapor.
A reception will take place immediately prior to the lecture, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in Green Commons on the UT Dallas campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.
