RICHARDSON, Texas (Jan. 10, 2006) — Goran Krivokapić, winner of the 22nd annual Guitar Foundation of America Guitar Competition, will perform at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) on Friday, Feb. 3, at 8 p.m., in the Jonsson Performance Hall. Krivokapić also will teach a master guitar class at the university on Feb. 2.
The classical performance will include Three Sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, Violin Sonata No. 3 by Johan Sebastian Bach, Sonate A-Dur Op. 17 by Franz Werthmueller and Sonata No. 2 by Dusan Bogdanovic.

Krivokapić has studied guitar under the guidance of Mico Poznanovic, Srdjan Tosic, Hubert Käppel, Roberto Aussel and Carlo Marchione. He has performed in such places as Yugoslavia, Spain, Austria, Germany, Italy, Chile, Turkey and Greece, and he has worked with the Montenegro Chamber Orchestra, the Montenegro Symphony Orchestra, the Slovak Chamber Orchestra, the Chilean Symphony Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic and the Turin Philharmonic, among others.
Since 1996, the young musician has won numerous international competitions and has been praised for his “astounding virtuosic and interpretative artistic maturity” (Akustik Gitarre, Germany).
Tickets for the Krivokapić performance are $15 for general admission and free to UTD students with a valid identification.
