The Pub welcomes stand-up comic and television personality Ian Edwards for a special African-American Comedy Night program on Thursday, Feb. 12.

The 8 p.m. show for students is sponsored by the Student Union & Activities Advisory Board as part of its multicultural comedy series.

Edwards has appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, and HBO’s Bad Boys of Comedy. He also performs weekly at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.

Edwards was born in England and has lived in Jamaica, New York and California.

When he was 21, he quit his job at a fast-food restaurant to try his hand at comedy.

He has appeared on Def Comedy Jam on HBO and on the long-running syndicated Showtime at the Apollo. He was also a cast member on the fifth season of Punk’d on MTV.

Edwards’ writing credits include work for Saturday Night Live on NBC-TV, the Lyricist Lounge show on MTV and The Boondocks for the Cartoon Network.
