Eugene McDermott Library has added a donation of modern management books given by the widow of the late Jasper H. Arnold III, Ph.D. For 10 years Dr. Arnold guided the nationally recognized UT Dallas Executive MBA program before dying unexpectedly in December.
Arnold’s wife Betty believed that books from her husband’s office library would benefit students, particularly those from the School of Management. All of the books have been designated to the main stacks of the library for general use and contain a bookplate in memory of Arnold.
“Professors often acquire books in their field that are not often found in the main university library,” said Ellen Safley, Ph.D., senior associate director at McDermott.
“These are welcome additions to our collection, especially since they support the EMBA program that Dr. Arnold built into an acclaimed curriculum. We are grateful to Mrs. Arnold for making these available to current and future students.”
