More than three dozen graduate students will present brief presentations about their research on Tuesday, Dec. 9, as part of the first-ever Graduate Research Day at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at UT Dallas.
Limited to just two to three minutes each, the 39 presentations will include discussions of work on body sensor networks, quantum dot solar cells, airplane routing software, wireless-network security, organic light-emitting diodes and much more.
All told, graduate students will discuss projects from the fields of computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, materials science, software engineering and telecommunications engineering.
The event will provide local companies with a glimpse of student research, and during a poster session after the presentations the audience will have an opportunity to hold informal discussions with students.
Presentations will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the school’s TI Founders Auditorium (ECSS 2.102), and the poster session will follow in the foyer from 5 to 7 p.m.
