Dr. Ray H. Baughman, director of The University of Texas at Dallas NanoTech Institute, and Dr. Da Hsuan Feng, the university’s vice president for research and graduate education, will be guests on the Glenn Mitchell Show on Dallas public radio station KERA on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The pair will discuss the breakthrough reported last week by researchers at UTD and an Australian laboratory in producing strong, transparent carbon nanotube sheets that promise a wide range of innovative products and applications.

Baughman and Feng will answer questions from host Mitchell and listeners in a live broadcast from KERA studios in Dallas.

The technological breakthrough, reported in the Aug. 19 issue of the journal Science, has received widespread coverage in recent days from media around the globe, furthering UTD’s image as an emerging research powerhouse whose faculty members are making important advances in a variety of fields.
