An episode of the documentary television series State of Tomorrow featuring University of Texas at Dallas President David E. Daniel and nanotechnologist Ray Baughman will be broadcast on Dallas public TV station KERA, Channel 13, on Monday, May 7 at 11 p.m.

A segment of the episode, titled “Thinking Small,” will focus on the science of nanotechnology and its potential applications, including work being done by Baughman and his colleagues in the UT Dallas NanoTech Institute to create artificial muscles.  Nanotechnology is the manipulation of materials at the molecular level.

State of Tomorrow is a series of 13 half-hour television programs that explores how scientists and faculty members at Texas public universities are seeking solutions to challenges facing Texans today. The series is being aired on public television stations around the state.
