RICHARDSON, Texas (March 1, 2005) — The University of Texas at Dallas’ 14th Annual Golf Tournament will be held Friday, April 29, at Sherrill Park Golf Course, 2001 East Lookout Drive in Richardson.

Last year, the tournament raised nearly $25,000 for the UTD Scholarship Fund, and tourney organizers say they hope to surpass that figure this year. Since its inception, the popular event has raised approximately $175,000 for student scholarships to UTD.

Centex will serve as title sponsor for this year’s tournament. Awards will be given for first, second and last place, and all participants will be eligible for special drawings at the awards ceremony. Registration and lunch will start at noon on the day of the tourney, and snacks will be available throughout the day. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost is $90 per player, and the deadline to enter is April 1. The charge includes green fees, cart, prizes and lunch.
