Experts will gather at the University of Texas at Dallas on Sunday to discuss the next breakthroughs in health-care technology that are likely to emerge from collaborations among engineers, physicians, biologists, chemists and others.
The two-day workshop will feature nearly two dozen presentations regarding various aspects of biomedical imaging, medical devices, biomedical signal processing, tissue engineering, patient monitoring and more.
The workshop’s keynote speaker will be Mir Imran, a medical device entrepreneur who holds more than 200 patents and was instrumental in creating the first FDA-approved implantable cardiac defibrillator.
The workshop is sponsored by the Dallas Chapter of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. For more information, please visit http://biomed.utdallas.edu.
