Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman, director of The University of Texas at Dallas’ Center for BrainHealth, will appear on the popular Glenn Mitchell show, a KERA 90.1 public radio program, at 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2. She will be joined by Dr. George V. Kondraske, a professor of biomedical engineering and electrical engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington.
Chapman and Kondraske will discuss the inner workings of the human brain and an upcoming lecture series titled “The Brain: An Owner’s Guide” and co-sponsored by the Center for BrainHealth, the Neuroscience Center at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and KERA 90.1.
All of the lectures will be held at Presbyterian’s Fogelson Forum Auditorium, located at 8200 Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas, and will run from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays. They will begin on Sept. 7 and conclude on Sept. 28.
Chapman will speak on “The Teen Brain: Excitement and Exasperation” on Sept. 7, and Kondraske will discuss “New Brain Discoveries About Human Performance” on Sept. 21.
Thursday’s radio program will air live on 90.1 FM. The section featuring Chapman and Kondraske will begin at 1 p.m. and last approximately an hour.
