The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) received an award on Sept. 18 at the 20th Annual Regional Minority Enterprise Development Week Conference being held at the Dallas Hyatt Regency Hotel. The “Million Dollar Roundtable Award” was presented to UTD and other area organizations that purchased products and services valued at $1 million or more from area minority and/or women-owned businesses in fiscal year 2001.
The event was sponsored by the Minority Business Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business Adminstration.
Peter Bond, UTD’s director of Procurement Management and the HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) Program, and his colleague Paul Watson accepted the award on behalf of the university.
