Visual Art Exhibitions on Display

Two exhibits are on display in the Visual Arts Building. In the main gallery, “Code Yellow” shows six different curators’ investigations into how contemporary society visually registers and addresses concerns of vulnerability, struggle and crisis. The result is a montage of humor, irony, empathy, data, graphic depiction, media manipulation and social engagement.

Art by Karleen Hesselbacher

“Girls Galore” is Karleen Hesselbacher’s senior thesis.

Karleen Hesselbacher’s senior honors thesis exhibition, “Girls Galore,” is on display in the mezzanine gallery. Hesselbacher uses projections and video to question the representation of conventions of sexuality surrounding the contemporary woman.

Both exhibits will be on display through April 26.
