The UT Dallas Law Enforcement Exploring Post #559 Team won a number of awards, including two first-place trophies, in a competition on campus April 4.

A total of 78 teams from across Texas and Oklahoma and as far away as Florida competed in the Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors Association (TLEEAA) competition, hosted for the eighth year by UT Dallas.

Each team competed in four of 13 events sponsored by local and federal law enforcement agencies.

The UT Dallas team placed in the following:

  • First place – Arrest, Search and Seizure.
  • First place – Accident Investigation
  • Second Place – Call for Police.

UT Dallas was also commended for having the fourth-best team and post overall.

The team consisted of Grant Mock, Andrew Russell, Shelby Gibson and Jeffrey Spradlin.
