Simon, Paula and Randy will be back in all their glory Tuesday night for the premiere of the seventh season of American Idol, and UT Dallas will host the only official viewing party for the Metroplex.
The Student Union Activities Advisory Board is organizing the celebration, which will be held in the Galaxy Rooms of the Student Union from 7-10 p.m. on Jan. 15th. Festivities will include T-shirt, hat and poster giveaways and other prizes.
Attendees can watch the show on either of two 20-foot rear-projection televisions. Refreshments will be served.
Dallas was one of the audition cities this season and thousands of people lined up at Texas Stadium for a chance to become the next American Idol. A neighbor, student or friend could be one of the many singers who hope to get a ticket to Hollywood.
SUAAB expects about 200-300 participants, so students and guests should arrive early and bring their Comet spirit.
