Building a network of support through “counter-intuitive marketing” will be the topic of a presentation Dec. 5 by Dallas consultant Dr. Richard F. Tozer at the winter 2002 Professional Development Forum at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).
Tozer says the concepts he will present are universal and can apply to a wide variety of situations ranging from individuals who are marketing their skills in a personal job search to both small and large organizations.
“Recently we have seen unprecedented stress on not only individual careers but also on both large and small organizations – even down to the department level – as these entities struggle to keep up with current developments in the economy, stock markets and national security,” Tozer said, adding that his presentation would provide a simple checklist, based on fundamental concepts, to help both individuals and large and small organizations.
Tozer earned his doctorate at the Harvard Business School. He is an active member of the Institute of Management Consultants, the Dallas Economists Club and the National Association for Business Economics.
A breakfast will be held at 8 a.m., followed by Tozer’s presentation from 8:30 to 10 a.m. A $15 charge covers both events, which will be held in Room 1.212 of the UTD Conference Center.
