The GEMS Center, in conjunction with the Judicial Affairs office, will put on a variety of events during the second annual Academic Integrity Week set for Sept. 14-18.

The week-long series was developed to teach and promote stronger writing skills, as well as to aid in developing positive, confident approaches to academic success.

Planned activities include a panel, “What do Professors Look for in Your Assignments?,” which will be led by UT Dallas faculty.

“The panelists for that particular discussion include representatives from upper level courses and from a variety of disciplines,” said Susan McKee, a judicial affairs officer at the University. “Their comments will be applicable to students at every level of study, not just those in their first year.”

Another event, Gold Medal Time Management, will offer tools and techniques for quickly and effectively gaining control over time constraints.

“Functional alignment and the prioritizing of time commitments remain an essential ingredient to academic success,” McKee added.
