The University of Texas at Dallas’ 11th Annual Golf Tournament, which is designed to raise funds for scholarships to the university, will be held Friday, May 3, at Sherrill Park Golf Course, 2001 East Lookout Drive in Richardson.
Last year, the tournament raised more than $15,000 for the UTD Scholarship Fund, and tourney organizers say they hope to raise at least that much this year. Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $115,000 for UTD scholarships.
Awards will be given for first, second and last place, and all participants will be eligible for special drawings at the awards ceremony. Registration and lunch will start at noon on the day of the tourney, and snacks will be available throughout the day.
The cost is $85 per player, and the deadline to enter is April 19. The charge includes green fees, cart, prizes and lunch. Registration will be limited to the first 150 participants. For more information, please call Bob Lovitt at 972-883-2213 or Austin Cunningham at 972-883-2886.
