Rock the Campus for the Cure, an annual concert benefiting the North Texas chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, has been rescheduled for Sunday, Sept 28.

The concert will take place beginning at 3 p.m. outside the Student Union.  The lineup will include musical groups Forever the Sickest Kids, Sidekick Mafia, Sean Russel and other local bands.  It is expected to last until approximately 9:30 p.m. and draw about 700 attendees.

Originally planned for Sept. 13, the event was postponed due to inclement weather related to Hurricane Ike.

Rock the Campus for the Cure is put on by Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.  The event honors Brad Monks, a UT Dallas student and member of the fraternity who lost his battle with lymphoma in 2005.  Since its inception, the concert has raised more than $27,000 for the society.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the North Texas chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for blood cancer research and patient aid.  Tickets can be purchased for a $10 donation at the concert Web site, or at the gate.
