RICHARDSON, Texas (Oct. 21, 2005) — The University of Texas at Dallas’ chamber ensemble in residence, the Clavier Trio, featuring UTD faculty member Arkady Fomin, will perform Dramatic Slavic Dynasties at the Jonsson Performance Hall on the UTD campus Sunday, Nov. 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Fomin is a distinguished violinist in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and artistic director of the New Conservatory of Dallas. He is joined by cellist Peter Steffens, also of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and pianist David Korevaar, a member of the Prometheus Piano Quartet and professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The concert will feature a passionate opus by Russian composer Anton Arensky, dedicated to the memory of the famed cellist Karl Davidoff. The second half of the program will contain works by Czech musical dynasty the Dvorak family, including the dramatic Piano Trio in F minor by Antonin Dvorak and the lyrical Elegy by his favorite student and son-in-law Joseph Suk.
