RICHARDSON,
Texas (Sept. 19, 2003) — Classical pianist Ana Cervantes, hailed by one critic — Peter
Spencer of the Newark Star-Ledger — as “a physical, emotional pianist … with extraordinary
touch,” will give a concert Saturday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m., in the Jonsson Performance Hall (JO

The daughter of a Mexican father and a mother from

as an interlocutor between cultures.

Her program at UTD will include Ramón Montes
de Oca’s Dos Estampas: Vestigio de Sombra (Two Prints: Vestige of Shadow), Marcela Rodríguez’s Como
el agua en el agua (Like Water in Water)
