RICHARDSON, Texas (Aug. 11, 2004) — The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will present Basically Baroque, a classical concert featuring UTD faculty members Kathryn Evans, director and soprano, and Mary Medrick on harpsichord at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 10, in the Jonsson Performance Hall.

Evans and Medrick will be joined by guest artists Cecile Lagarenne on oboe and oboe d’amore, Helen Blackburn on flute, Kristin Van Cleve and Beth Rudy on violin, Kristi Swanson on viola and Jim Higgins on cello.

The concert will feature “The Wedding Cantata” (Cantata No. 210) O Holder Tag, Erwünschte Zeit, Trio Sonata III in G Major, BWV 1038 by Johann Sebastian Bach, and three movements from French Suite #4 , all by Johann Sebastian Bach, and Domine, dominus noster by André Campra.

Tickets for the concert are $10 for general admission. Admission is free to UTD students with a UTD Photo ID at the box office the night of the event.
