Comets roller hockey star Jason Burger has skated his way once again onto the Southwest Collegiate Hockey League (SCHL) All-Star team.
The selection is Burger’s fourth All-Star selection.
He was selected last year to represent the Southwest Collegiate Hockey League in the North American Roller Hockey Championships (NARCh) Elite All Star Tournament.
In addition, Burger has won the Fastest Skater title three times and the Fastest Stick Handler once during the SCHL Skills Competitions held each year in conjunction with the All-Star Game.
UT Dallas competes in the Southwest Collegiate Hockey League of the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA). Seven leagues make up the NCRHA.
Burger is in his seventh season skating for UT Dallas. He started playing for the Comets as an undergraduate and has continued to lead the team as he finishes his MBA.
Jason has played a valuable role in the teams’ five consecutive SCHL Division II championship titles and six overall titles. Playoffs are just a week away, and Jason hopes to help lead the team to its sixth consecutive division championship. The playoff games will be Feb. 23-24 at Face-Off Hockey Center in Denton, Texas.
Jason’s regular season career goals at UT Dallas total 278, an average 34 per season. He scored a season record of 43 goals his freshman season.
In addition to being a powerhouse when it comes to scoring for the Comets, Jason averages 19 assists per season with a regular season career total of 148 assists for UT Dallas.
